John Mills, b. in England 1689, came to Chilmark about 1725 and m. Bathsheba Allen (40) on 31 Oct. 1726, by whom he had one daughter, Mary. He removed to Newton after marriage and d. there 6 Mar. 1727/8. He was a trader by occupation. His widow married Rev. Josiah Dennis of Yarmouth on 28 Aug. 1729.
