THE MARTHA'S VINEYARD NATIONAL BANK,
John E. White, President, Wm. W. Boardman, Cashier, Vineyard Haven, Mass.

It is difficult to overestimate the benefit derived by a community from a strictly first-class and up-to-date banking service; and as that is just the sort of service furnished by The Martha's Vineyard National Bank, of Vineyard Haven, it naturally follows that that institution is held in very high esteem. It is excellently equipped for the prompt and accurate discharge of its many duties as a bank of discount and deposit; receives the accounts of corporations, business firms and individuals on the most favorable terms, and is ever ready and willing to afford every legitimate accommodation. A great public convenience is its offering of safe deposit boxes to rent, as that practically eliminates the possibility of loss and the charges are but nominal. The president of the Martha's Vineyard National is Mr. John E. White; the vice-president, Mr. Wm. Barry Owen and the cashier is Mr. Wm. W. Boardman.

B. C. CROMWELL & CO.,
Automobile Forging, Horse Shoeing, Carriage and Wagon Work,
Vineyard Haven, Mass.

There is not a more genuinely popular blacksmith shop on the entire Island than that carried on by B. C. Cromwell & Co., and it is not at all difficult to account for the exceptional popularity of this establishment for it is based on the solid ground of satisfactory work at satisfactory prices. Mr. Cromwell does a 'general business as blacksmith and horseshoer, also repairs automobiles, and in the opinion of competent judges he does as good work as is done anywhere and a good deal better work than is done at some places. Horses are shod at his shop as they ought to be, and that means that each horse has his especial needs carefully provided for, for it is a fact that no two horses should be shod precisely alike. Carriage and wagon work is also done in first-class style and orders can generally be filled at short notice. A specialty is made of automobile forging of all kinds and first class work is guaranteed.

The firm will cheerfully furnish on application estimates on anything in the line of painting work; and they give careful attention to small orders as well as to those which are very large in amount. They deal extensively in painters', paper-hangers' and glaziers' supplies, being prepared to furnish them at wholesale or retail at Boston prices. They are agents for the famous "Columbia" brand of mixed paints (Wadsworth, Howland & Co.), and carry a full line in stock at all times.

VINEYARD HAVEN SANITARIUM
Vineyard Haven, Mass.

Without disputing that there are certain localities in the South, the West and the Northwest that well deserve the reputation for exceptional healthfulness which they enjoy, it may still be maintained that it is not necessary to journey to those distant points in order to find a region which is unsurpassed in the entire country for the opportunity it offers for the preservation, the promotion and the regaining of health. That region is Martha's Vineyard, where the average length of life is 26 years more than the general average throughout the United States, so it will be seen that the Vineyard Haven Sanitarium is most advantageously located. It is a thoroughly modern establishment equipped with the latest improved appliances and conducted in accordance with the latest dictates of medical, surgical and hygienic science so it is but a logical consequence that its record is such as to entitle it to a leading position among similar institutions.
