A. C. TUCKERMAN,
Plumbing and Heating, Kitchen Furnishings, etc., Agent Glenwood Ranges.
Main Street, Vineyard Haven, Mass.

The simple fact that Mr. A. C. Tuckerman is agent for the famous and deservedly popular "Glenwood" ranges goes far to show the class of goods he handles and the sort of trade to which he successfully caters. "Full value for money received" might rightfully be claimed to be the guiding principle of the management of this store for the goods are so carefully and skilfully chosen and the prices are so low-quality considered - that even the least experienced buyer is positively assured a "square deal" in the full sense of the term. A very heavy and varied stock is carried, it including the best in stoves and kitchen furnishings, also plumbing goods and bathroom furnishings and many other articles literally "too numerous to mention." Ample assistance is employed and a specialty is made of jobbing and no trouble is spared to assure prompt as well as courteous attention to every caller.

J. P. BODFISH, [See History]
Dry Goods, Mens' Furnishings, Notions, etc.,
Main Street, Vineyard Haven, Mass.

An establishment that is entitled to a good deal of credit for the important part it takes in the demonstration of the fact that Vineyard Haven is a very desirable place to go "shopping" in is that conveniently located on Main Street and conducted by Mr. J. P. Bodfish. The premises utilized are spacious, but they are not a bit too large for the proper accommodation of the stock carried, for that is extensive in amount as well as varied in kind and is so skilfully selected that it is no exaggeration to state that all tastes and all purses can be perfectly suited from it. It includes the latest novelties in dry goods as well as full lines of staple articles, together with ladies', children's and men's furnishings in almost endless variety and an assortment of notions which is exceptionally up-to-date in every particular. Mr. Bodfish handles an up-to-date line of McCall's patterns and publications. A big business is done but as ample assistance is employed callers are assured prompt and careful attention.

FISCHER BROTHERS,

The firm of Fischer Brothers is very widely and favorably known as the producers of the famous "Boat Brand" of boneless codfish, which is so skilfully and carefully prepared as to always prove satisfactory to the most fastidious; but that is but one branch of a very extensive and steadily growing business which includes the handling of staple supplies of many kinds. This concern gives particular attention to the prompt, intelligent and satisfactory filling of orders by telephone or by mail, so their business is by no means confined to selling to "near-by" customers. Lunch Room, also Tonsorial Artist,
Opposite New Bank, Main Street, Vineyard Haven, Mass.

Call at the barber shop next door to the Eureka Lunch Room, and opposite the New Bank on Main Street, Vineyard Haven, if you wish to enjoy the sensation of having your hair cut or of being shaved in truly "first-class style." This is a new shop with new equipment, but the proprietor, Mr. William H. Dewey, is by no means "new" in the business. On the contrary be has had an experience of more than a quarter of a century, and as Mr. Dewey is one of those who learn from experience it may truly be said that never before was he so well prepared as he is to-day to completely satisfy the wants of even the most fastidious. He appreciates the fact that "different people have different tastes" and he makes it his business to study the tastes of each customer and to do work to suit him without requiring an elaborate explanation of just what is desired. Everything is kept in the pink of condition, and a visit to this establishment is a pleasure,
At his lunch room, also opposite the bank, meals may be had at all hours. A specialty of home made bread at eight cents per loaf; fresh every day, at lunch room.
