The soldiers are World War I veterans. "Site is in front of the SBS Grain Store. I see Donald Tilton (Bobby Tilton's father) (front row of band, second from right) and Alton Tuckerman (our local tinsmith and loyal band player) (front row of band, first on right). Just in front of the band that may be Herb Stevens in an army uniform wearing a campaign hat. The cop looks like Harold Webb, but I am not sure." [WHR 1999]
