Missing GravestonesAccording to "Vital Records of Tisbury to the Year 1850, which was published in 1910 and evidently based on a turn-of-the-century transcript of every gravestone in town, the following five people once had a gravestone at Crossways Cemetery:

| William Swain. Died Jan. 4, 1814, aged 65 years, 10 months, and 4 days. See Banks p. 466. He was the husband of Parnell Luce. | |
