Franklin Luce was a Holmes Hole cooper and mariner. He was the son of George Luce, and was the brother or half-brother of Eliza Butler Luce. He died of tuberculosis.

Martha W. (Luce) Luce was born in May 1834 in Edgartown. She died in Tisbury on May 18, 1910 of "Senile Debility."
